Danu Hof Family Farm Embraces Local and Sustainable Practices

Danu Hof Family Farm celebrates its roots and commitment to local food and sustainable farming practices. Established in October 2017 by a Michigan-born couple with backgrounds in hospitality and culinary arts, the farm embodies a dream of revitalizing small family farms and enhancing local food systems.
The farm features a variety of livestock, including heritage breed pigs and chickens, which are raised with utmost care to ensure quality and sustainability. The pigs are supplemented with local grains, produce and brewery grain, while the chickens enjoy a combination of free-range pasture and barn space, enriched with local grain feed.
Danu Hof offers a diverse selection of fresh produce grown using organic practices. The farm produces asparagus, raspberries, sunchokes and seasonal vegetables like bush beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, greens, brussels sprouts, potatoes and pumpkins. Additionally, the farm partners with other local farms, such as Flynn Orchards, to provide a wide variety of fresh fruits.
The on-farm store showcases gifts from local artisans, including tinctures, salves, goat-milk soaps and the farm’s own maple syrup. Committed to being hyper-local, the farm sources products and produce within a 50-mile radius and participates in programs like WIC, Double-Up Food Bucks and SNAP/EBT to ensure accessibility for all budgets.
Danu Hof also offers catering, cooking classes and private chef services, further engaging with the community and promoting a healthier, sustainable lifestyle.
