Making a Difference for Homeless Kids

The Covenant House Michigan Virtual Sleep Out will take place November 19 in communities across North America on their 10th anniversary. Approximately 4.2 million young people face homelessness each year, and the Sleep Out brings families, friends and coworkers together virtually for a meaningful night of conversation, contemplation, education and story sharing. Participants can sleep out on their own or with a team from a backyard, porch, terrace, garage, kitchen floor or car and tune in to the Sleep Out livestream and activities throughout the night.
In a time when housing
is health care, the funds and awareness raised so that Covenant House Michigan
can remain open 24/7 have never been more critical. All funds raised from
sleepers in Michigan support Covenant House’s work in Detroit and Grand Rapids.
Covenant House Michigan provides homeless young people with safe shelter and
wrap-around services, including education and job training, so they can move
forward to an adulthood free of poverty and the threat of homelessness.
