Gateway Farm Creates Sustainable Future Through Community Engagement

Gateway Farm stands as a shining example of sustainable agriculture and community engagement. The farm is implementing a regenerative, permaculture-inspired design that combines USDA-certified organic market gardening with food forests, land regeneration and re-wilding.
The farm’s owner, Mary Emmett, envisions Gateway Farm as a sanctuary of abundance and beauty, offering nutrient-dense food, education, events, and hope for the future. She emphasizes ecological regeneration and community involvement, stating, “Our vision for Gateway Farm is to create a sustainable, thriving ecosystem that not only nourishes our community, but also serves as an educational hub for sustainable living.”
The farm produces a diverse array of fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers and seedlings onsite, along with specialty products such as herbal teas and infused vinegars. These products are available in their virtual farm store, onsite Farm Stand, local farmers markets, through their CSA program, and at Plymouth Orchards during cider season. The farm also offers unique onsite experiences, including monthly markets, farm-to-table dinners, workshops and farm tours.
